Welcome to our site, bringing you the history of 707 Southard Street, Key West, Florida. We are Mike and Tiffani Green, and have owned this conch house since April 4, 2013.
Our house has been featured in two different books over the years, Mary Emmerling’s American Country Cottages and Key West Gardens and Their Stories by Janis Frawley-Holler. Copies of these books are kept in the house for our renter’s perusal.
Emmerling’s book refers to the front portion of the house existing since 1860, and describes the property with pictures in an 8-page spread. The Janis Frawley-Holler book illustrates the vegetation at the property in the late 1990s, and refers to our property as “A Caribbean Fling”.
Tiffani and I noticed the property being listed on the Key West Properties blog.
